What are your interests outside of cycling?
I like to read classic novels and to draw on the artistic front. Other sports which have always interested me are tennis and long distance running. I really enjoy learning languages as well as playing the clarinet.

What are your ambitions for the future?
Hopefully to ride at a world tour level, ideally the grand tours, but I don’t really know what kind of rider I am yet.

What do you listen to while warming up?
When I warm up I like to listen to classical music mixed with a bit of rock, stuff like Beethoven, Mozart, Dvorak and groups like AC/DC and the Killers.

Where is your favourite place to ride?
I love riding in Devon and the west country because of the moors which give you the greatest sense of freedom

What is the best thing about being a cyclist?
The freedom of being out in the countryside and the adrenaline rush and speed of races.

What are you looking forward to most about the 2017 season?
Racing in the big European races and trying to get myself out there. Hopefully lots of attacking!
